The Bridgestone Blizzak LM 001 RFT * is a winter tire specially developed for vehicles with run-flat properties. The "RFT" stands for "Run-Flat Technology", which means that the tire remains drivable even if the pressure is lost, increasing safety and mobility in the event of a tire blowout. The "*" often indicates a special design or adaptation that could be optimized for certain vehicle brands or models. The Blizzak LM 001 RFT offers excellent traction and stability on snow and ice thanks to an advanced rubber compound and a specially developed tread. The tread ensures effective water and slush drainage, minimizes the risk of aquaplaning and improves driving stability on slippery surfaces. This tire combines high safety and comfort in winter conditions and also offers reliable grip on dry and wet roads. Ideal for drivers looking for a high-performance and safe solution with run-flat properties in extreme winter conditions.

The Tire Labeling Regulation regulates the information requirements on fuel efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise of tires and also contains information on the winter properties of the product.
Regulation EU 1222/2009, which has been in force since November 1, 2012, has been revised and will be replaced by Regulation EU 2020/740 from May 1, 2021. From this date, new requirements apply: the rating classes for fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise have been adjusted and the EU label has been given a new layout. Manufacturers' product data sheets can be accessed via a QR code integrated into the label. New information on snow and ice grip for corresponding tires has been added.
The following tyres are exempt from the regulation: - tyres for vehicles registered before 1 October 1990 - retreaded tyres (until the corresponding extension of the regulation) - professional tyres - road tyres - racing bike tyres - tyres with traction aids such as spikes - T-spare tyres - tyres with a maximum speed of less than 80 km/h - tyres for rims with a nominal diameter ≤ 254 mm or ≥ 635 mm.
An overview of the criteria and evaluation classes:
Fuel efficiency: The rolling resistance of the tires, influenced by the vehicle, driving conditions and driving style, is divided into classes from A (most efficient) to E (least efficient). Class A tires can reduce fuel consumption by up to 7.5%* compared to class E. For commercial vehicles, the savings can be even higher.
Wet grip: Wet grip is divided into classes from A (shortest braking distance) to E (longest braking distance). With class A tires, the braking distance when braking from 80 km/h can be shortened by up to 18 m compared to class E tires.*
External rolling noise: The noise of a tire is divided into three classes (A to C) and measured in decibels (dB). Class A means that the external rolling noise is more than 3 dB below the EU limit that applied until 2016, class C indicates that the limit is exceeded.
